LaunchMemphis 2009 BootCamp
Just got an email this morning that caught my interest for a moment. LaunchMemphis.com is hosting a bootcamp for local entrepreneurs to help with planning, building, marketing, and funding a business. Normally, I would ignore the invite and continue on my way. But today was different.
I’ve been down on my luck with PPC for a couple weeks, trying to figure out which turn was the wrong turn on a few campaigns. While trying to salvage those PPC campaigns, I’ve also been running over a few ideas for new businesses in my head. Consulting ideas, new content-based websites, new products, some affiliate site ideas… way too much on my mind. And all this is wearing me down.
What’s the point of me telling you this? Sometimes all the knowledge in the world isn’t enough to save you. Sometimes knowing how to build successful websites and setup PPC, or promote affiliate products is just not enough. In order to combat this self-depressive, gray and cold time of year – I need a little help. The best remedy for me and a lot of other entrepreneurs is camaraderie. Getting out and meeting other people, talking business with people that get you and what you’re doing. This little bit of motivation can be a huge boost in confidence and productivity. And if you don’t believe it, you probably have never tried it.
So if you find yourself stuck in the winter business blues, look for a place to mingle with like-minded people. Sure, a lesson on business plans and marketing probably won’t have a lot to offer me – but the chance to sit face to face with the people at LaunchMemphis will reinvigorate my work. Get pumped, and go find some fellow business owners to chat with today!
Until next time,
